The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima as its 2023 vice-presidential candidate.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, in a tweet, said Shettima was unveiled on Wednesday.at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.±1!+¹
“Our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), unveils Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate of our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”, he tweeted.
Former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had picked Shettima as his running mate following his emergence as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu’s choice of Shettima, has continued to generate controversy, especially among the Christians.
Most Nigerians wanted the APC presidential candidate to pick a Christian as his running mate, but settled for a Northern Muslim instead.
