The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of Nasarawa State, CSP Haruna Abdulmalik, has been abducted by gunmen.

Abdulmalik was kidnapped on Thursday while on patrol off Nasarawa Eggon –Akwanga Road.

According to reports, the kidnappers have contacted the family, demanding N5m ransom

Deputy Chairman of the ocal government area, Benjamin Kuze confirmed the incident to newsmen.

The State Police Command has not issued any statement on the incident.
