Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has refuted reports that he gave orders for immediate demolition of Dominion and EAN hangars, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Two (MMIA 2), Lagos.

Keyamo had reportedly  ordered that Dominion and EAN hangars built by the Chinese engineering company at the MMIA 2, be demolished to make way for airport expansion, when he visited the Lagos Airport during his facility tour on Thursday, August 31.

But in a rebuttal on Friday,  Keyamo denied ever giving such an order, describing it as incorrect.

“This is not correct. No demolition was ordered. We have only told Nigerians the private hangars that are preventing Nigerians from using the new terminal and that we will engage the owners on their eventual relocation”, he wrote on his X handle.
