NYSC Urges Corps Members To Be Self-reliant, Patriotic 

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brigadier General Mohammed. K. Fadah has charged corps members across the country to make good use of the skills acquisition programmes acquired while on training camps.

Brigadier General MK Fadah gave the charge on Tuesday in an address delivered at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Batch B, Stream One NYSC orientation course which took place at the Dan Yamusa permanent orientation camp, Lafia.

DIPLOMATIC DIARY reports that about 1990 corps members participated in NYSC orientation course in Nasarawa State.

Represented by the Nasarawa State NYSC Coordinator, Abdulahi Jikamshi, the Director General expressed satisfaction with the impressive performance of the corps members, urging them to do same in their areas of primary assignment.

He assured the corps members of the readiness of the NYSC management to work with relevant financial institutions to provide start-up loans which will enable them to start small scale businesses.

A cross section of corps members, who participated in the passing out exercise, expressed happiness for the skills acquired while on camp and promised to put the knowledge into use after their service year.

The corps members called on the Federal Government to provide soft loans to enable them set up business so that the skills acquired will be put into use.
